There are two key guides to the legal profession which carry out annual research in the sector: the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. The findings are based on submissions made by the participating firms, supported by referee and peer group feedback.
This is only the second year that Bates Wells & Braithwaite, Ipswich has made a submission for the Family practice, and we are delighted that we have retained our position in the ranking tables.
In the latest Legal 500, the Family Law team at Bates Wells & Braithwaite is now recognised alongside five other Ipswich-based firms for Family in East Anglia.
In the Chambers UK Guide, published last month, Bates Wells & Braithwaite again appears in the rankings for East Anglian Family/Matrimonial practices, one of just 13 firms listed. However, most pleasing is that for the very first time, the two Family partners, Denise Head and Scott Emsden, are amongst the 35 lawyers recognised for leading the way in family law; Denise is in Band 4 and Scott is in the “up and coming” tables.
Managing Partner Denise Head commented: “It is always pleasing to have independent research verify that you are doing a good job. We are very grateful to our clients and peers who have contributed to this process and Scott and I would like to extend this accolade to the wider team at Bates Wells & Braithwaite in Ipswich. We could not do it without you.”
